Milestone day today (Sunday 19th Jan 2020)! Arrival of the first customer 3-axis aircraft at Wickham Green ‘International Airport’.
‘With Robin at the controls and the aircraft owner alongside, the opportunity was taken to assess the suitability of the newly set out 300m ‘interim’ strip in nil wind conditions.
The verdict at the end of the flying session - with approaches made from both directions (06/24), was that flying ops based on the current strip set-up were just doable in nil wind conditions and should be straight forward with a reasonable headwind component for take offs and landings.
Robin has already flown a couple of flex-wing sorties in and out of the strip.
